Enriching the lives of the children of Bakersfield
We are passionate about making a difference. Helping Bakersfield children grow and succeed is at the heart of everything we do.
Our Club
The Kiwanis Club of Westchester, Bakersfield is one of 11 clubs in Kern County. It was chartered in 1961 and our 40 + members are from all walks of life, some currently employed and some retired, but all have the desire to help our community and make an impact on the world. Our main club meets Friday mornings at 6:30 AM. The group enjoys fellowship, breakfast, discusses service projects and hears community speakers on various topics. Meetings are adjourned by 7:45 AM. Please join us as our guest for a few meetings to see what we are all about. We meet at:

The club meets periodically at various locations.

We also offer Associate opportunities to meet less frequently for those who can’t meet weekly.

Real Stories, Real Impact
We believe in the power of community to uplift those in need. These are just a few of the stories that show how Westchester Kiwanis is making a real difference in our community.
"Thanks to the help of the KCNC Dream Center and Westchester Kiwanis, I went from being homeless to someone who has housing, a job, & the income I need to my pay my bills each month. They provided the help I needed to get on my feet and be successful."
"As the Nutrition Coordinator at Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County, I see firsthand the great need to help children in our community. Being a Kiwanian means that I get to be part of making lives better for local children through volunteering at projects like our annual Christmas Shopping Spree!"
