Key Club
The Kiwanis family includes members of all ages and abilities. In addition to Kiwanis clubs for adults who serve kids, we offer Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs. Our SLPs are Key Club International for high school students, Circle K International for college and university students, K-Kids for elementary school students, Builders Club for middle school students and Aktion Club for adults with disabilities.
SLPs are leadership and character-building programs hosted in a school or community agency and often sponsored by a Kiwanis club or another civic organization.
Since the first Key Club was founded in 1925, millions of SLP members have been inspired to lead lives of service and significance.
From the Club
On October 16th, 2024 the Stockdale High School Key Club was chartered with 125 members. Westchester Kiwanis is the Sponsoring Club for this Key Club.
The Key Club is made up of officers and members who hold regular meetings, similar to a Kiwanis meeting. They also are very involved in service projects. Some of the projects from the Key Club included: hosting a blood drive, picking up trash along city streets, packing food for CAPK, holding a book drive, volunteering at the Veteran’s and Christmas parades alongside their Kiwanis Sponsors, and helping to complete the preparation for a Kiwanis Float for the Rose Parade held in Pasadena in January.
The club members contributed at least 10 hours of service during the school year, with one student completing over 32 hours of service. These students are motivated and eager to serve their community. Their Faculty Advisor, Clark Jue, is a teacher at Stockdale High and one of our club’s newest members.
